Dr. Joseph H. Schuessler is an Assistant Professor at Tarleton State University. He received his PhD in
Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas where he also received an MS in Information Technology, and MBA in Business
Computer Information Systems, and a BBA in Strategic Management.
His area of research interest is in
information systems security, privacy and computer/network forensics.
Specifically, his interests are in the managerial aspects of how security is
developed and maintained in organizations, how threats are identified and
categorized, and how appropriate remedies to such threats are identified and
chosen.
Dr. Schuessler's teaching interests are in the area of security,
forensics, e-commerce, networking, systems analysis and design, and project management.
He has taught each of these subjects spread accorss four universities: the
University of North Texas, Bloomsburg University, Eastern New Mexico
University, and Tarleton State University.
Dr. Schuessler also actively attends
conferences to remain current in the field. These include ICIS, AMCIS, SWDSI,
TexSAW, and The Security Conference. He also regularly presents papers
at these conferences.
